PEOPLE
Dignity, consent, autonomy and participation come before any artistic outcome.
Frequency Forge is an inclusive association using DJing, music production and electronic music culture as practical means to develop skills, expression, autonomy, connection and safer communities.
We are not only a school, promoter or support organisation. We are an association connecting culture, learning, community and protection. We work with anyone and add stronger safeguards where people may face vulnerability, exclusion, bullying, harassment, abuse, violence or isolation.
Dignity, consent, autonomy and participation come before any artistic outcome.
DJing and production are practical tools to create, learn, express and connect.
We want electronic music culture with stronger practices, more opportunity and safer spaces.
Frequency Forge was built by people who know electronic music from the inside: booths, studios, events, PR, hospitality, production and community. We saw the scene’s potential to generate learning, connection and opportunity, and we also saw its barriers. We created an association designed to work on both realities.
We do not present music as a cure or clinical treatment. We use it as an environment for practice: finishing a mix, learning software, stepping into a booth, collaborating with someone, taking on a challenge or belonging to a community can open pathways to learning, confidence and autonomy.
Our local base is Frontier at Pompeu Fabra 13, Manresa. It is a newly started creative space where we aim to combine studio access, practice, workshops, community and electronic music culture. We are at the beginning: we do not invent impact figures. We prefer to demonstrate what we build through real activity, people and outcomes.
The board brings complementary experience across events, community, production, hospitality and club culture. The legal entity is Asociación Frequency Forge; each board member’s external professional activities remain separate from the association.
